What an Autumn and Winter we are having.Just continuous damp.Nothing ever drying out. This makes it so hard for the collection and production of Organic Leaf Mould/leafmould for some.I have never been so wet for so long ever and I worked outside for 30 years before my accident. My electric wheelchair and its poor batteries are suffering badly.I will have to buy a new one this year. So I have to keep collecting and chopping to help pay for it.I love being out and about and am not averse to normal rain patterns but this is one of the most horrendous periods of my entire life.
I am happy to work hard but the wet bags of leaves are so heavy it is difficult to get them on my lap. So I have had to invest in a trolley with 4 wheels which is possible to steer from my wheelchair.
Chopping the leaves is also much harder when they are wet. Chopping them is vital to getting really good friable Leaf Mould able to be used in potting compsts. Also whilst doing this we can remove all the unwanted matter before going in the bins wooden bins which attract the organic matters such as worms; micro-organisms and micronutrients. We can be certain ours is rich in all the beneficial life you need for your plants. We also only remove from the heaps as the orders come in.So it is Live and fresh when you get it.You cannot get this anywhere else! We also provide made to order fresh Organic Fertiliser with fresh cold pressed extract from LeafMould.Again only made to order.Never pre prepared and therefore stale having lost all its live properties.
Here Is Hoping for dryer months ahead because the collecting and chopping has to go on to keep a good supply going. It is so labour intensive and takes so long to produce that it is not viable to produce commercially. I love giving people the Organics they are so short of and it gives me purpose in life, activity and some pocket money.
